On the 4th-9th September first delegation from Slovak University of Technology in Bratislava visited University of Iceland within the project REX-RMA. The delegation consisted of vice-rector for Strategic Projects, Development, Innovation and Praxis prof. Maximilian Stremy, Dean of the Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Information Technology prof. Vladimír Kutiš, project managers Martin Donoval, Peter Cuninka and Viltare Platzner, and Technology Transfer Officers Lucia Rybanská and Natália Molnárová.
During 5 days of the visit the group met with various colleagues from project centre, Technology Transfer Office, different faculties, and finally with the rector of the University of Iceland prof. Jón Atli Benediktsson. The meeting was filled with discussions, know-how sharing and explorations of the future collaborations.
Another part of the visit was dedicated to the company visits – one of them was Ice Tec – company that offers technical expertise and facilities for deep tech entrepreneurs. During the meeting with the Icelandic start-up KLAK the group had an opportunity to learn about the incubating and accelerating of the new start-ups, and what synergies can be found within KLAK and the University.
The visit was concluded with an organizational session regarding the closing conference of REX-RMA conference.
